Christmas by the Lake returns for 2021

Bluebird Foundation announces Christmas by the Lake CD/Album Return in 2021  The Bluebird Foundation announced this morning that there will be a Christmas by the Lake music album this year. The approximate 14 song collection will be available as a “collector CD” and download. The music collection had been an annual tradition and helped raise funds for many years until halting in 2020 in the middle of the pandemic.

“Christmas by the Lake featured some great music performances by musicians from around the area and those with ties to our area that wanted to give back,” said Tracy Lundeen, creator and longtime producer of the project. “Far too many people have approached us during this past year saying how much they missed the project so….here we are.” The Bluebird Foundation will also bring back their annual Christmas by the Lake Concert this year. The event is Wednesday, December 1st at the Greysolon Plaza Ballroom and will feature live music, a silent auction, and a presentation ceremony awarding $5000 to seven deserving Northland high school-aged students in the performing arts.

The awards will include the Bluebird Foundation’s prestigious $2000 Audrey A Lundeen Award along with 6- $500 grants including the Nels Hursh Culinary Award, Jim Putnam Award – Cloquet Eagles Club Aerie 1163,  Cloquet Eagles Club Aerie 1163 Award, Patrick Perfetti Music Excellence Award, and James Stellmaker Awards by Big Daddy’s Burgers (2).

The deadline to apply for the Scholarship and Grants is this Friday, November 12th. More about the work of the Bluebird Foundation can be found on-line at www.bluebirdfoundation.org or on facebook.
